Two upcoming electric vehicles from Volkswagen seem primed to capture eco-friendly Canadian buyers who may have previously considered the now defunct Passat sedan:

Both models will be underpinned by VW’s modular MEB platform architecture with next-gen EV power, range, and charging. They seem aimed to help lead the brand’s electric shift among progressive buyers here.


As the final model year of the Volkswagen Passat in Canada, the 2022 version already suffers from below average resale value expectations according to industry analysts:
